Artist's Statement: I love painting and I explore the world of stories with each brush stroke. I am very happy to share my hand painted silk scarves, shawls, silk paintings and digital prints of my original artwork with you. My life is simple - I am a vegetarian, I love yoga, I live in a small town with my husband Bronius (also an artist) and a cat Knutas (almost an artist). I paint all of my artwork at home, usually in the kitchen where my workstation is. I built my home studio around an ancient oak wood table, which, once inherited, has been with our family for decades and has witnessed lots of interesting stories. My inspiration comes from my surroundings, long walks in nature, watching plants and birds, talking to people and reading books. I often paint freehand - I have a story in my mind, an element or a color - and I just let my mind run free and my hand just follows. Painting to me is a form of meditation. I am very happy when somebody finds their story in my artwork.
